MAUI WEDDING LOCATIONS: If privacy is a concern, you may want to consider paying for hotel grounds or a private location for your Maui Wedding. Public beaches are popular with our visitors and residents and because all beaches in Maui are public, it is not possible to reserve them. It is possible and likely that there may be other weddings taking place at the same location & time as your wedding. Some of the private locations and most hotels are on or near the beach so you can still get beach and sunset shots after your ceremony. Many of the private locations & hotels offer protection from the elements such as wind and/or rain. You may find it worthwhile to pay a location fee, not only to insure privacy, but to take advantage of the variety of scenery that some of the hotels offer. Many Hotels offer lush tropical garden scenery, man-made waterfalls as well as a beach front location. Kathryn no longer accepts public beach weddings. Consult with your photographer or coordinator about the best location for your needs. Most of the hotels do not allow you to go onto their grounds wearing your wedding attire with a professional photographer without paying their grounds fee. This fee usually applies even if you are a guest at the resort. |
